But I think Arun Shourie is also senile like the rest of the top leadership of BJP. Everyone has one leg in the grave....
I mean what did Arun Shourie say except use some fancy adjectives...he did not say anything about what exactly the issues are - just kept saying the BJP are floating in a rudderless boat and giving stupid solutions like RSS should take over. Is he miffed on the Jaswant then come out in his defence and speak out on that issue - just blabbering to the media.
I can't understand the media. Our media just latches on to the fancy words and keeps trumpeting it......if I hear Alice in Blunderland one more time I might just kill someone. Instead of grilling Arun Shourie on the key conflicts they are just televising someone cleaning out his dirty laundry...
@harini calamur: :) glad you liked.. I think headless chicken thing is something to put to use soon. @nikhil narayanan: you put me up to it :) @comicology: haha .. I hope you recognized arun shourie @vedha: Congress either had a lucky break, or was able to leverage some things and come back. BJP is banking on old ideas. Every influence has an expiry date, even beer does (as I discovered recently). @Omm: thanks :) Are you on twitter? had a nice little conversation with @calamur and @sundeepdougal about this. Media will do what it is supposed to do, they might have social responsibility, but profit comes first. And how can one media house ignore a story if a rival is going to cover the same? On grilling Arun Shourie, I had a similar point, but someone else pointed out that it was actually a good interview, and got him to say things he otherwise would not. His justification of post-Godhra riots for instance. Unfortunately, there is so much dirty linen, that it is clogging the gutter.
I am not on twitter..but you are right that media will do anything for profit.
I am always reminded from Spiderman "with great power comes great responsibility"
The 4th estate has a lot of power, if it really set to it then they can bring about more accountability and transparency in the system but they would rather pander to the general public's voyeuristic and baser instincts and use every trick in the book to titillate us.
Disgusting......
Anyways I have been apolitical but atleast the Congress will build a future set of young leaders to form the core of Rahul Gandhi's cabinet. So far he has appeared as sincere but we have to watch and see. No other party gives any such hope.

Good one TCP. Poor old Jaswant :)
BJP has been a kati patang for the last 5-6 years. their leadership problems seems to be growing all the time and there seems to be no cure.
sometimes RSS also makes things difficult for them.
nice cartoon tcp.
