The comments in the previous post tell me that TCP is still about having fun. Although I receive a lot of abusive comments - all personal - there is nothing I can do about it except - post another comic. Sorry for keeping you all waiting.COVER

Comic #201: Mandrake - Year 50000 AD

And I thought this blog was about having fun!!!
In comic 200, some confusion was created by a person who impersonated some of our visitors. It led to a couple of visitors developing feelings for each other. No. we aren't a dating site..these are feelings of the hard kind ;-) One visitor has said that he/she will not post a comment again because I did not allow another one of his/her comments to be posted where he/she stated a very valid opinion and asked the other visitor to refrain from accusations. Like i said, valid point, but why did I not publish the comment? Because I wanted the episode to come to a quick end. But instead of just letting it go, some of us have decided to take it personally.
I am ok with that. And I am also ok with no comments on the blog because anyway 99% of the visitors don't leave comments anyway. The only reason I had left it on was to let people talk to each other, enjoy being here, have some innocent fun, play weird games with weird rules and get some feedback. But with TCP, it appears even the visitors grew up a little - in all the wrong places :-) psst..and I thought growing up was only about "yeh hai badtha baccha..kapda chhota hota jaaye...I'm a complan boy" although I am a "horlicks zyaada shakti deta hai" product - i ate half spoon yesterday.
This blog is about smiles, it is also about keeping the child in us alive and kicking butt. This is a ADULTS-NOT-ALLOWED site and while adults are still welcome, you should know that you are screwing with the fun we kids are having. So someone deliberately started being nasty in the comments section - and has spoilt this place for good, I could not stop that, but this "getting personal" business can be stopped.
My suggestion to all "adults" - get your fix of comics and back off. Seriously.
Where the hell are all the old timers? Comic posting ka fun less hoing. Because you are not coming. Please rescue me from the clutches of all these adults. Pleeaaazzzjjjjeeeee.

Unfortunately, TCP grew a little older
A few weeks ago, I put up a post about "new and improved" TCP under the title - 3 options. For those who hadn't visited TCP for a few days, it seemed like a random post but there was a specific reason for that post. It was an attempt to play down disgusting abuses and some pathetic language by a visitor. This "visitor" abused regular visitors using the identities of other visitors. I can respond to the worst situations with my "non"sense of humour but this situation required some control and I enabled comment moderation.
For #200 and the 2nd anniversary, I had disabled moderation and enabled anonymous commenting because it was a special occassion and I wanted us to go back to the good old days. But the abuses were back. I initially thought it was being done for kicks, but looking at the timing, the nature of comments and overall pattern, I am not so sure.
TCP was a playground where we all could come in and could have some fun, fight each other, laugh with each other and just chatter. But suddenly that was all gone and I had no idea why. Against all our wishes, TCP grew a little older and you could say it is now in its teens.
But TCP is about smiles .. and that shall continue uninterrupted. Stay tuned, there is a lot more to come - things that you expected...and...then there is the unexpected :-)

Comic #200: Mandrake - Test of a Magician (TCP Second Anniversary Issue)
2 years!! 200 comics!! 257 Posts!!
I had no idea I'll keep doing this for 2 years but here I am again on TCP's second anniversary.
Ajnabi said in one of his comments:
"…Those who came late…..
2 years back…. on 17th April 2005….. An idle Sunday Evening at about 04:45 PM...
The revolution begins…..
TCP started his laptop on Batteries (as power was cut) and connected his scanner (probably on UPS/inverter) and digitize the 28 pages of “The Emperor’s Dream”. "
psst...ajnabi...my scanner was USB powered :-)
Fewer comics were posted this year and the celebrations compared to last year have been not so big. Visitors have gone up - but I am not counting anymore. Comments have decreased but I guess that was unavoidable. But the regulars are still here with a few more lurking in the shadows and some have completely disappeared. All in all, it was fun bringing 70+ comics in TCP's 2nd year. Stay tuned. There's more to come.
Contributors - Thanks for keeping TCP alive
Visitors - Please keep coming back
The rest - Hope you find us :-)
IYER EDUCATION completes two years too - Congrats mate. Keep the Iyer flag fliyering.COVER
